By April/2007, there were 70 million blogs as tracked by Technorati. That’s double the number of blogs one year earlier. The number is still growing by about 120,000 new blogs each day (more than 1 per second). Also, at that time, for blogs already established, there were 1.5 million posts per day, or 17 posts per second.
Wikipedia reports that as of September, 2007, Technorati was tracking more than 106 million blogs.
