Gender: Female

Industry: Libraries

Occupation: UBC Graduate Student

Location: Vancouver : BC : Canada

About Me : Masters in Library and Information Studies Candidate. This blog was created as a requirement in the LIBR 500 course, Foundations of Information Technology. The course is studying the implications of collaborative initiatives on the Web as they relate to libraries.

This blog doesn’t make typical use of blogging tools to postdate journal entries, but rather it will discuss the topic in general and use some of the capabilities within a blog such as tagging, rss feeds, and links to provide examples of the ideas discussed. Posts are then subject-based and not chronological. The reader should realize that the real power of blogs is the ability to establish timelines using the chronological nature of entries and the ability to archive posts for future reference.
